Do I need a referral from my GP?
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your referral letter, previous test results, hospital letters, a list of your current medications, and your private medical insurance details if applicable.
What does a private consultation cost?
An initial consultation is £200 (approximately 15–25 minutes, covering your history and symptoms in full). Follow-up consultations to review results and agree next steps are £120. Diagnostic procedure fees are determined and billed directly by Cobalt Hospital.
Which insurers do you accept?
Dr Kejariwal is recognized by all major private healthcare insurers, including Bupa (fee assured), AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, Healix, WPA, Bupa Global, and Exeter Family Friendly. Please contact your insurer for pre-authorisation prior to your appointment.
How soon can I be seen?
We aim to offer appointments as promptly as possible. Our team will confirm the earliest available appointment when you enquire.
Will I be sedated, and when do I get results?
Sedation is available for gastroscopy and colonoscopy and will be discussed with you beforehand. Dr Kejariwal will explain your findings after the procedure, with biopsy results provided once available.

No — you can refer yourself. A GP referral is still helpful: it gives Dr Kejariwal your history and test results, and most insurers require one before authorising treatment.
